Technical Sales Representative– Pet Food – France Remote/Flexible Working – €45,000 – €60,000 + Bonus + Benefits

The Job This is a technical sales role supporting pet food manufacturers across Western Europe, with a focus on wet pet food solutions and ingredients. You’ll be responsible for managing existing customer relationships, developing new business, and providing technical support across a range of applications. The role combines commercial sales with technical consultation, working closely with customers to understand their manufacturing requirements and recommend suitable ingredient solutions. You’ll also support product trials, application discussions, and long‑term partnership development within the pet food sector. This is a remote‑based role with regular travel across Western Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow relationships with wet pet food manufacturers across Western Europe

Promote ingredient solutions and support customers with technical applications

Identify new business opportunities and develop sales within the sector

Provide product guidance and support during trials and formulation discussions

Work closely with suppliers, technical teams, and product managers

Carry out customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements

Manage pipeline activity, forecasting, and reporting through CRM systems

Support new product launches and ongoing account development

The Candidate

Experience within pet food, animal nutrition, food ingredients, or a related sector

Background in technical sales, commercial sales, or account management

Good understanding of wet pet food manufacturing or ingredients

Comfortable managing customer relationships across different European markets

Strong communication and presentation skills

Willingness to travel regularly across Western Europe

Fluent English required; additional European languages beneficial

Technical knowledge in food science, animal nutrition, or functional ingredients an advantage

Existing contacts within the European pet food industry useful but not essential

€45,000 – €60,000 salary depending on experience

Candidate Requirements

Hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role
