Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your system engineering and data architecture expertise within Alstom’s Railway Data Sciences&AI organization. Alstom’s Data Science and AI programs aim to develop, test, validate, and industrialize data‑driven solutions for the mobility domain, leveraging advanced analytics, simulations, and domain expertise.
As Railway AI Solution System Designer, you will lead the design of end‑to‑end system and data architectures for AI solutions, from definition to industrialization, working closely with multidisciplinary and international teams. You will hierarchically report to the Head of Railway Data Sciences&AI Solutions and functionally to the Railway AI Solution Program Managers.
Your responsibilities
Analyze functional needs and translate user requirements into system‑level specifications
Define and design end‑to‑end system and data architectures for AI solutions
Provide detailed system analyses and technical inputs to development teams
Ensure alignment of data engineering implementations with functional and performance objectives
Oversee end‑to‑end solution design, from concept to industrialization
Support verification and validation activities from a functional standpoint
Contribute to tender activities by identifying gaps and defining required core developments
Your profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Strong industry experience within system engineering, supervision or diagnostic systems; signaling or smart mobility experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of data architectures and data‑driven programs in on‑prem and cloud environments
Proven experience in data engineering and high‑availability, high‑performance system architectures
Proficiency in Python and experience with technologies such as Kafka, API management, Spark/Streaming, Linux, and Open APIs
Solid knowledge of data platforms and tools including Oracle / SQL Server / PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch / Kibana, InfluxDB, Minio, and dashboarding tools such as Grafana or Tableau
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala or Spark, with exposure to AI / machine learning‑driven solutions appreciated
Strong teamwork skills, autonomy and a proactive mindset, with fluent written and spoken English
