'Applicable to both Project&Tender:'
Managing the defintion of train physical architecture
Ensuring conformity to project requirements including platform/product assets
Ensuring convergence with train aesthetical definition
Applicable to Project only:
Specifying physical constraints and mechanical transversal performances to SSG
Controlling the SSG development convergence towards related specifications
Ensuring train level validation and certification
Applicable to Tender only:
Producing internal&customer tender deliverables and piloting complete mechanical MLE
Performance Measurement/KPI’s:
The added value of work result and its re‑usability for other developments:
Physical architecture = best balance between customer requirements, platform requirements (incl. carry over level), métier technical policy and cost target
Physical architecture performance (diversity, number of passengers, train weight per passenger,…)
Digital mock‑up up to date and compliance to métier rules
Management: decision and dashboard up to date (including visibility of stress on transversal performances and volume allocation), anticipative animation (define consistent direction rather than arbitrates according to tasks results)
Activities&deliverables: clarity and consistency of specification with respect to SBS; completion of intermediate BOMs
Responsibilities: Accountable for
Managing train architecture (definition, verification, validation&certification)
Train layouts&general studies (gauge and kinematics, weight management…)
Mechanical transversal performance
Aesthetic definition of the train including convergence with customer and internal partners (A&CD, CDSi)
Related physical mock‑up and simulations
Related work package management
Defining RSL1C, decision book&space allocation model
Managing digital mock‑up
Managing perceived quality
Managing tolerancing
Project only:
Specifying resulting constraints to SSG, piloting convergence considering SSG constraints, consolidating design
Ensuring corrective actions after FMR and type test, up to end of warranty
Tender only:
Producing internal&customer tender deliverables
Leading mechanical development team
Leading hand over to project team or contributing to tender memorandum
Supporting tender costing (with TD Costing Tool)
Responsible for
Controlling the physical architecture governance
Piloting layout definition and mechanical transversal performance activities
Defining physical architecture as the best balance between customer requirements, platform requirements (incl. carry over level), métier technical policy and cost constraints
Managing directly main layouts considering relevant constraints (lighting, passenger flow, corrosion…)
Animating Project Preferred Parts List
Animating physical architecture and train level digital mock‑up reviews
Competencies&Skills Technical:
Detailed train mechanical architecture including knowledge on:
General studies
Mechanical integration
3D mock‑up with CATIA
Ability to share vision and strategy with all development stakeholders (other domains inside and outside engineering)
Development process and governance knowledge
General knowledge of project management (quality, cost, delay)
Fluent English
Behavioral:
Rigorous and organized with hands‑on approach
Sense of urgency/Priority
Time management and reporting skills
Multidisciplinary team management and animation
Good communication and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer satisfaction oriented)
Resilient
