Job Description Simulation Software Engineer

– Location: Getafe. Role focuses on definition and implementation of complex simulation architectures for programs A400M, Eurodrone, and UAS.

This position is for a new department (TADVS4). You will work in an international environment requiring close coordination with internal colleagues, stakeholders, and external partner companies. The team uses Agile methodologies; an Agile mindset is mandatory.

This role requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity.

Your Tasks

Design architecture of software modules for new simulator functionalities.

Develop simulation models representing aircraft equipment within the simulator.

Implement software modules (mainly in C++).

Create and perform unit tests of software modules (C++/Python).

Create tools for improving development processes (e.g., code generators).

Perform integration testing.

Occasional travel abroad (mainly within the EU).

Required Skills&Experience

Degree or Master’s degree in Software, Aeronautical, Telecommunication Engineering or a related discipline.

Overall more than 10 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Architect.

Hands‑on proven track record in simulation and software systems engineering.

Project Management skills are beneficial.

Experience in the aviation, simulation, and defence industry is beneficial.

Excellent English at negotiation level.

Excellent skills in software development.
