About The Role We’re looking for a Designer to join our Marketing team in Montreal. This is a foundational role: you’ll own the visual language of Optable across every touchpoint, from social media and paid campaigns to web pages, events, and internal tools.

You’ll lead the transition from agency‑managed design to a fully in‑house function, build and maintain our design system and illustration library, and ensure creative consistency across everything we ship. You’ll also coordinate with external partners: freelancers, developers, animators, and video producers while staying deeply hands‑on yourself.

This role sits at the intersection of design craft and modern tooling. You’ll be expected to actively integrate AI‑powered design and production tools into your workflows – not as a novelty, but as a core part of how you work faster, iterate more, and raise the bar on creative output. We’re building the infrastructure for agentic advertising, and we want a designer who brings that same builder instinct to how they create.

What You’ll Do Brand&Design System

Build and maintain Optable’s design system, component library, and illustration library in Figma

Ensure visual consistency across all internal and external assets

Transition design ownership from agency to in‑house, establishing scalable workflows

Develop reusable templates and systematized creative workflows that reduce production time and enable non‑designers to self‑serve on routine assets

Digital&Campaign Creative

Design social media graphics and short motion animations for LinkedIn, X, and other channels

Produce paid ad creative across formats and placements

Design email templates and individual campaign emails

Create marketing collateral, pitch decks, and presentation templates

Use AI‑assisted design and image generation tools to accelerate concepting, produce creative variations at scale, and rapidly prototype campaign visuals

Web Design

Design landing pages in Figma with Webflow implementation in mind: structured components, responsive breakpoints, and CMS‑ready layouts

Collaborate with external partners to hand off Webflow‑ready Figma files

Manage Webflow CMS configuration, content modeling, and site maintenance

Create web‑optimized illustrations and visual assets for product pages and blog content

Events&Print

Design print materials for conferences and events like banners, signage, handouts

Produce branded event collateral from brief to print‑ready files

External Coordination

Manage and brief external freelancers and agencies for website development, animation, and video production

Review and direct work from external partners to ensure brand alignment

Creative Tooling&Automation

Evaluate and adopt emerging AI‑powered design tools (image generation, layout automation, motion tools) to continuously improve creative velocity and quality

Build lightweight creative automation workflows– e.g., templatized social kits, auto‑resizing asset pipelines, or batch production setups – that let the team move faster without sacrificing brand quality

Partner with marketing and product teams to identify where creative bottlenecks exist and propose tool‑driven solutions

Tech Stack

Figma (Expert)– Component‑level design, prototyping, and design system management

Webflow (Basic‑Intermediate) – Understands Webflow’s structure and constraints well enough to design Figma files ready for Webflow implementation: clean components, defined breakpoints, CMS‑friendly layouts

Adobe Illustrator (Intermediate–Advanced) – Vector graphics, icon creation, illustrations, and print‑ready asset preparation

Adobe Photoshop (Advanced)– Asset preparation, retouching, and web optimization

Adobe After Effects (Intermediate)– Motion graphics for social media and short explainer animations

Responsive Design (Solid Understanding)– Mobile‑first thinking, grid systems, multi‑breakpoint design, and cross‑device optimization

HTML / CSS (Basic Familiarity)– Ability to read and understand code to work effectively with developers, not required to write from scratch

AI Design Tools (Comfortable&Curious)– Experience or strong interest in tools like Midjourney, DALL‑E, Runway, Adobe Firefly, or similar for concepting, asset generation, and motion – and the judgment to know when AI output needs a human hand

WordPress (Nice to Have)– Prior experience is a bonus, not a requirement

What We’re Looking For

4+ years in brand, marketing, or visual design, ideally in a B2B or tech environment

A strong portfolio with range: digital, motion, web, and print

Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize in a fast‑moving environment

Experience coordinating external creative partners and giving clear, actionable direction

High ownership mindset– you default to figuring things out, not waiting to be told

A builder’s instinct – you’re energized by shipping work, creating systems, and finding faster or smarter ways to produce great creative, including through AI and automation

Comfort working at an AI‑native company – you’re curious about how AI is changing design and eager to experiment with new tools, not intimidated by them

Strong written and verbal communication in English; French is an asset

À propos du poste

On cherche un·e Designer pour rejoindre notre équipe Marketing à Montréal. C’est un rôle fondateur : tu vas prendre en charge le langage visuel d’Optable sur tous les points de contact — des médias sociaux et campagnes payantes aux pages web, événements et outils internes.

Tu vas piloter la transition d’un design géré par des agences vers une fonction entièrement à l’interne, bâtir et maintenir notre système de design et notre bibliothèque d’illustrations, et assurer la cohérence créative dans tout ce qu’on produit. Tu vas aussi coordonner le travail avec des partenaires externes: pigistes, développeurs, animateurs et producteurs vidéo — tout en restant très impliqué·e dans l’exécution.
