Description
Leading media technology platform dedicated to modernizing the advertising landscape is seeking a Data Science Manager to lead AI Product function. This is a foundational leadership role where you will build and manage a specialized team of data scientists focused on customer-facing features powered by ML and LLMs. While this is a management-first role, you should possess the technical depth to guide modeling strategies and system design.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Hire, mentor, and grow a team of data scientists; conduct performance reviews and support career development.
Product Innovation: Facilitate the design of algorithms and models that drive new business opportunities and enhance existing product features.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Infrastructure to align on roadmaps and accelerate the delivery of AI-powered features.
Project Oversight: Own DS prioritization, manage resource allocation, and ensure high-quality, timely delivery of ML projects.
Process Excellence: Develop lightweight, effective processes for fast iteration and scalable AI delivery.
Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a quantitative field (CS, Math, Physics, etc.).
Experience: 2+ years of people management experience plus 6+ years in a Data Science or related technical role.
Technical Depth: Advanced knowledge of statistics/probability and hands‑on experience with SQL, Python, AWS, and modern ML workflows.
Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and manage complex dependencies across multiple stakeholders.
Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with LLMs, embeddings, or recommender systems.
Background in AdTech or Media analytics.
