Westinghouse Electric Company, a leader in nuclear energy, is seeking a Commercial Director to drive business development and sales activities across the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies for high‑value nuclear services programs, including major component replacements, modernizations, and life‑extension projects.
Lead the full commercial lifecycle from opportunity identification through contract awards, ensuring disciplined capture execution and structured handover to the Project Director.
Perform market intelligence and opportunity development—assess the EMEA nuclear LTO market, track industry trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior decision makers at nuclear utilities, government agencies, and industry partners; position Westinghouse as a strategic partner.
Provide commercial forecasting and governance—accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and proposal reporting to senior leadership.
Negotiate contracts and deal terms—partner with legal, finance, engineering, and risk teams to structure competitive and compliant agreements.
Maintain product and market expertise—stay current on engineering innovations and industry developments to deliver cost‑effective solutions.
Lead proposal approvals—direct the process with the Proposal Manager, ensuring offerings align with customer and financial objectives.
Represent Westinghouse at industry forums, conferences, and customer events; strengthen networks and enhance reputation.
Education&Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
15+ years of experience in sales, business development, or project management in the nuclear industry, focusing on long‑term operations, maintenance, and plant life‑extension projects.
Experience managing large‑scale projects and securing multi‑million‑dollar contracts within the nuclear or energy sector.
In‑depth knowledge of nuclear power plant operations, safety protocols, and industry regulations.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
