Responsibilities
Actively work the sales floor, interacting with customers and employees to achieve the store’s sales goals.
Be one of the top two sales people in the store. Lead all staff in world-class customer service to deliver on all financial goals of the organization.
Participate in the annual budgeting process, quarterly/monthly financial review meetings, and other meetings as necessary.
Performance and Training Focus
Financial performance: lead store operations to meet budgeted goals.
Staff performance: organize, implement, and validate staff training on sales, merchandising, Daily Task List, Ascend POS, Ascend Analytics, and product training; validate training through role-playing, Trek University, secret shop reviews, and direct observation.
Store merchandising and operations: participate in store merchandising to ensure a professional, accessible, and inviting shopping experience; monitor store supplies and ordering; export daily files into QuickBooks weekly.
Human resources: participate in all aspects of HR and staffing, including interviewing, new-hire paperwork, scheduling, and discipline.
What You’ll Bring To The Team
Retail Know-How: solid understanding of retail fundamentals—KPIs, profit&loss statements, budgets.
Leadership Experience: at least one year of team leadership; coaching and inspiring others.
Retail Roots: at least 2 years in retail.
Operational Chops: inventory, merchandising, payroll, scheduling, and customer service experience.
Love for Bikes: enthusiasm for cycling and helping others discover it.
Problem-Solving Skills: ability to figure things out quickly.
Communication: clear and respectful communication across channels.
Comfort with Change: ability to adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.
