Emeteria / Design Lyon, France / Full-time Mid-Senior level This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the most exciting game studios, using leading technology to create new genre-defining games, within our collaborative Action RPG team. What is the job about? As a key member of the design team, you will take ownership of the game design. Focusing mainly on game design, you’ll also lead other designers working on combat, level, and audio, collaborating closely with all disciplines to ensure high standards. You will mentor teammates, review design work, and champion quality.Day-to-day responsibilities include: Leading, documenting, and sharing design direction with other departments Providing clear guidance to the design team aligned with the creative vision Partnering with Art and Technical teams to solve problems and enable the design team Overseeing design team members' work and mentoring designersParticipating in recruitment to grow the design team Designing features consistent with the creative direction (game systems, combat, enemy design, AI behaviors, etc.) Fostering an environment of open dialogue and creativity Requirements What are we looking for? 10+ years of experience in game developmentExcellent understanding of systemic gameplay Strong project and risk management skills Experience with Unreal Engine What do you need to succeed?
