The L2, Software&Electrical Engineering Department, within MED Electrical, plays a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of modern wind turbine systems. The department’s main priorities are the integration and maintenance of all electrical and software components that enable efficient turbine operation, grid compliance, and advanced monitoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical queries, variations, and payment claims are assessed promptly

Ensure all work carried out follows Vestas Quality and Site Safety requirements

Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies

Collaborate with engineering teams to understand root causes and translate findings into actionable solutions

Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to analyze data and identify operational issues

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field

Solid understanding of turbine control principles, generator/converter behavior, and grid compliance

Experience with control system diagnostics and embedded software environments

Familiarity with PLC programming, software update processes, and version control

Experience working within structured product‑development processes and internal engineering procedures

Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Competencies

Experienced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends

Motivated mindset with a focus on structured problem‑solving

Effective communicator who bridges technical and non‑technical teams

Collaborative contributor with experience working across departments and with field teams

Additional Information This is a hybrid position and requires up to 5 days of travel per year.
