Job Summary
Arabelle Solutions, part of EDF Group, seeks a Project Contract Manager Senior to lead, manage and coordinate the commercial and contractual aspects of large and complex power plant projects through all phases of design, procurement and construction. Roles&Responsibilities
Collaborate with sales and legal on the commercial and contractual aspects of tendering activities for the allocated project and provide the commercial execution strategy focusing on contract structure and its executability. Establish, own and implement the Project Commercial Execution Plan, the Claim and Variation management process and strategy, and project insurance policies and procedures.Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of the project in execution to achieve project goals and objectives, including timely completion and margin improvement. Work with project planners/schedulers to ensure that the main project schedule/program accurately reflects contract and project terminology and that subcontract schedules/programmes are maintained.Support the project team in managing project costs and cash‑flows towards customers, consortium partners, subcontractors and vendors. Establish project‑specific procurement conditions and, as needed, establish internal/external consortium agreements. In collaboration with finance, obtain and review letters of credit, bonds and other securities and maintain them in accordance with the contract.In collaboration with the legal team, prepare contractual interpretations, legal parts of settlements and amendments, and obtain legal opinions and involvement of external law firms as needed. Perform proper risk and opportunity management, ensure compliance with obligations, and clarify contractual requirements.Identify, reserve and enforce contractual rights; maintain filing systems, risk, event and claim registers, and issue notifications and correspondence correctly and on time. Develop and maintain commercial relationships with clients, partners and main subcontractors/vendors to ensure smooth operation of the project and dispute resolution.Define and implement effective notification and claim strategies towards clients, partners, subcontractors, vendors and insurers. Lead all relevant functions (legal, planning, etc.) in the preparation of claims and perform negotiations with clients, partners and/or subcontractors, vendors and insurers, securing change orders and claim settlements and final accounts.Refer project tasks to specialist functions such as contract management, legal, corporate insurance, tax, finance where necessary. Guide and/or supervise other commercial professionals working on the project team as required. Support compilation and presentation of project reports to relevant management.Obtain power of attorneys for project stakeholders as needed. Own the commercial project execution processes and tools such as the project commercial plan and the claims and variation order tool. Train and apply additional measures for project teams and other relevant parts of the business to increase commercial awareness.Capture return of experience and best practices on commercial issues and provide feedback to other projects and functions. Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent (Bac +5) in Engineering, Economics, Law or Business Administration. 10 years of experience in the energy industry, with at least 5 years in contract management, project management or legal for large/complex projects. Good commercial knowledge covering multiple disciplines.Excellent track record and skills in conducting commercial negotiations at higher management levels. Good knowledge of project contracts and contract law. Good knowledge of claims management. Solid understanding of relevant technical, planning and financial principles. Solid understanding of project risk management.Leadership, influencing and management skills. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Ability to collaborate with other business team members to develop strategies and implement business plans. Strong relationship‑building skills with clients, suppliers and contractors. Proficient computer skills, especially MS‑Windows and Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Fluency in written and spoken English; working knowledge of at least one additional language. Permanent contract (CDI). Possible locations: Nanterre (France) or Warsaw (Poland). 13‑month salary; annual bonus; profit‑sharing and incentive bonus based on company results. Full reimbursement of public transport fare. Teleworking agreement available.
