We are searching for a scientific leader to head the computational team focused on protein engineering, biologics, and delivery vectors within a drug design platform organisation. This role owns people leadership, scientific quality, and operational delivery, overseeing the application of advanced computational methods across internal programmes and partner-driven projects.Working closely with senior scientific and platform leadership, you will translate strategy into execution shaping how computational capabilities are developed, standardised, and scaled, while ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery of work that directly supports therapeutic design and development.What You’ll Do
Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary Protein&Vector Engineering team Own delivery of computational work across client, partner, and internal programmes Coordinate closely with computational, translational, and platform teams to ensure smooth execution Drive improvements in workflow standardisation, quality, and operational efficiency Translate scientific and business priorities into resourcing plans and execution roadmapsProvide clear delivery updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior stakeholders What You’ll Bring
PhD in Computational Chemistry, Structural Bioinformatics, Data Science, or related field Proven experience leading scientific or technical teams in an industrial setting Strong background in computational drug design, biologics, peptides, or vector engineering Demonstrated ability to turn strategy into operational deliveryExcellent communication skills and comfort working across disciplines Nice to Have
Experience with cloud or HPC-based molecular simulations Exposure to end-to-end computational drug discovery pipelines Familiarity with reproducible research and workflow management Experience scaling or industrialising AI / computational modelling platforms
