Join our team as Senior Manager Technical E-Discovery and shape the future of innovative eDiscovery processes!
In this pivotal role, you will establish and maintain a scalable, legally defensible framework for Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) compliance, driving automation and advancing our technology stack. As the governance lead for our RelativityOne environments and AI applications, you’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient, consistent, and future‑ready eDiscovery solutions across global jurisdictions.
This position is part time eligible with 80%.
Tasks&responsibilities
Take ownership of the technical strategy, architecture, and further development of our global eDiscovery technology stack, including RelativityOne. Your focus will be on ensuring scalability, automation, best practices, and EDRM‑compliant workflows across the entire discovery lifecycle.
Serve as the global technical lead and subject‑matter expert for all RelativityOne instances. You will ensure compliance with internal IT standards, security requirements, and regulatory obligations, while serving as the key interface to IT teams and important internal stakeholders.
Provide hands‑on technical leadership to support legal and case teams in RelativityOne. This will include tasks such as workspace configuration, data processing, user and permission management, analytics, productions, and quality control for complex cases.
Design, implement, and continuously improve eDiscovery processes and workflows. Together with Discovery Counsel, you will ensure legal defensibility, consistency, and operational efficiency, particularly in the areas of data processing, review, and production.
Drive the evaluation, development, and implementation of new technical solutions. You will explore innovative technologies such as automation and AI e.g. Generative AI to optimize workflows and assess new RelativityOne features for their value to the organization.
Contribute to global strategies for data governance and privacy‑compliant discovery processes. You will support various use cases, including litigation, regulatory inquiries, internal investigations, and DSARs, while managing vendors and service providers in close coordination with eDiscovery leadership.
Requirements
Bachelor’s and master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a comparable field paired with several years of experience in technical eDiscovery, digital forensics, or legal technology roles within a corporate environment or at a legal service provider
Extensive hands‑on experience with Relativity and comparable eDiscovery platforms across the full EDRM lifecycle
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Legal, IT, Security, and external law firms in a global setting
Strong understanding of eDiscovery best practices, document review workflows, and legally defensible processes in multi‑jurisdictional environments
Experience with automation, AI‑assisted review, and advanced analytics tools; pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus
Deep familiarity with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory expectations Data Protection
Fluency in English; German proficiency required for handling local documents, stakeholders, and processes
