About the role We are currently seeking to recruit a high caliber, energetic individual to join our Software Development team, in Strasbourg as a
Senior IT Project Manager . The successful candidate will work in a multinational environment on a multitude of tasks supporting our core business in Large Scale Information Systems. What you will do
Act as an advisor to senior stakeholders, defining and executing a realistic project plan that achieves agreed goals and aligns with the organization’s overall business strategy;
Take end-to-end responsibility for project execution, ensuring delivery within scope, time, budget, quality, and risk tolerances;
Provide regular project reporting and presentations to designated project managers and key decision-makers;
Lead the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including interoperability components, according to user and business requirements;
Define and maintain project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria;
Prepare, maintain, and control project plans and quality plans, tracking activities and progress against agreed baselines;
Estimate and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource needs, proactively addressing capacity constraints, risks, and delivery issues;
Guide, support, and motivate project teams; review deliverables and ensure adherence to quality standards;
Collaborate closely with program and project managers to allocate appropriate IT resources and expertise for all project activities;
Participate in working groups, governance forums, and progress meetings, contributing to alignment and informed decision‑making;
Monitor costs, schedules, and resource consumption, initiating corrective actions when deviations exceed agreed tolerances;
Manage the change control process, obtaining approval for scope, schedule, or cost changes and ensuring controlled implementation;
Oversee and coordinate daily project activities, ensuring smooth execution and issue resolution;
Ensure project staff are trained and compliant with relevant methodologies, quality standards, contractual obligations, security policies, and IT service or project management processes;
Provide strong leadership, fostering a high‑performance, continuously developing project team.
Technical Skills required
BSc's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any other relevant field;
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in relevant IT project environments;
At least 8 years of experience applying a formal project management methodology in complex projects;
Proven experience in consultative IT project management, particularly in software development, system integration, and quality‑driven environments;
Strong understanding of business process management, enterprise architecture, and end‑to‑end IT delivery;
Excellent knowledge and hands‑on experience with project management standards and methodologies, such as PM², PRINCE2, PMP, and Agile / Scrum;
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in international and multi‑cultural environments, managing diverse stakeholders and cross‑functional teams;
Proficiency with project management tools, and willingness to adopt organizationally mandated platforms;
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to chair meetings, facilitate workshops, and deliver clear, structured presentations to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
