We are seeking a Senior Audio Software Engineer with strong expertise in audio stream routing and low-level audio frameworks for automotive infotainment systems.
This is a purely hands‑on technical role, focused on audio framework, routing, and HAL‑level development, reinforcing a critical audio ownership area.
You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining audio stream management across QNX and Android-based infotainment platforms, covering media, navigation, voice assistant, telephony, and system sounds.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement audio stream routing and arbitration at framework and HAL level
Develop and maintain QNX Audio Framework and Audio HAL components
Ensure correct handling of concurrent audio streams with priority and waiver mechanisms
Work on low‑latency, low‑level audio paths for automotive use cases
Integrate and maintain Android Audio Stack and CarPlay audio flows
Interface with hardware, DSP, and SoC audio stacks (Qualcomm or equivalent)
Troubleshoot and resolve audio issues related to synchronization, latency, and resource conflictsTake technical ownership of audio components currently supported by external vendors
Collaborate closely with middleware and system teams
Required Qualifications
Strong proficiency in C / C++
Solid experience with QNX and embedded audio development
Deep understanding of:
Audio stream routing
Audio frameworks and HALs
Low‑level audio concepts (buffers, latency, timing)
Experience with Android Automotive Audio Stack
Knowledge of automotive audio architectures (no radio/tuner scope)
Nice to Have
Experience with Qualcomm low‑level audio stack (or equivalent SoC vendor)
Familiarity with A2B audio bus
Experience with CarPlay audio integration
Exposure to DSP concepts
Soft Skills
Strong problem‑solving mindset on complex, low‑level issues
Comfortable working independently in a key technical ownership role
Clear and effective technical communication in a multicultural environment
Strong focus on stability, audio quality, and robustness
