Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an Ice Protection Method and Tools Designer (M/F) to join the Communication&Sensing Systems Department based in Toulouse, France.

Wing and Nacelle Ice Protection Systems (IPS) are key to ensuring aircraft safety and performance. Developing and maintaining in‑service existing systems requires an understanding of system performance through the physics of ice, thermal analysis, and the use of adapted performance tools. Future programmes will introduce new challenges such as certification and electrical power sources instead of bleed power sources, whichsignificantly impact both the methods used to develop IPS and the associated tools.

Your challenges

Involved in IPS system design activities to support aircraft programme evolutions or participate in future technologies maturation.

Identify, perform or support the team in projects aiming at improving our knowledge of icing conditions or our methods to develop IPS.

Control the evolution of existing methods and tools used on IPS: manage existing tools, integrate new tools, and propose improvements for current methods.

Your boarding pass

Scientific computation and modelling skills.

Degree in mechanical/aeronautical engineering.

Basic knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermal and thermodynamic engineering.

Project Management basics.

Dynamic, positive, curious, passionate and creative.
